Congratulations Grade 2!
The Arts Exhibition for Grade 2 was a big success! The students showed how communities use the Arts in different ways for a large audience of fellow students, parents, teachers and friends. Great job, second grade!
Grade 2 Arts schedule will be back to its normal rotation starting Monday, 19-Oct.

Grade 4 Recorders
Mrs. Brown's homeroom (Rm 216) must bring their recorders to music starting next Friday (23-Oct). If your student was not a Rogers student last year, the school will provide a recorder.
Thanks!
Thanks!

Recorder Time!
Grade 3 classes will begin using recorders during the next several weeks. The school purchases one recorder for each student. They are expected to bring them with them to every music class. If their recorder is lost, broken, or misplaced, the students are responsible for purchasing a replacement soprano recorder (which can be purchased at any local music store).
At RIS, we use the "Recorder Karate" program in Grade 3. Students will receive ALL of their music as a book with their recorders. They are responsible for the book as well as the recorder. There is an at-home practice section online for student and parent use. It includes backing tracks for students to practice to in both MP3 and Quicktime formats. The website is http://www.musick8.com/rkdojo/rksounds.php. The username is karate and the password is rubric.
As always, if you have questions, please email us at cwitschy@ci.stamford.ct.us or ctorian@ci.stamford.ct.us
