The Grade 2 Arts EXPO: Communities will be on October 16, starting in the auditorium at 1:30 PM.

Dedication

At the dedication of RIS, on Sept 30 at 11:30 AM, grades 5 and 6 will perform "Ode to Joy". Please make sure your upper school students wear their uniforms on that day!

At the dedication of RIS, on Sept 30 at 11:30 AM, grades K-4 will perform "Hello to all the Chidren of the World". Please make sure your lower school students wears their uniform that day, and have a towel to sit on outside!

Grade 2 Arts Unit

Grade 2 Arts EXPO

The first Arts Exhibition of the year is coming up! Grade 2 will be inquiring about how the Arts relate to communities. Look for notices to have gone home about it!

Being Prepared

All Grade 6 students are expected to come to class with a folder and a pencil every day. Please remember this!

All performance opportunites outside of RIS that we are made aware of are posted outside the auditorium. Check there often!

All-Stamford Musical

All 4th, 5th and 6th grade students are invited to audition for "Fiddler on the Roof". Auditions will be at Rippowam Middle School on Wed. 9/9, Thu. 9/10 and Friday 9/11 from 2:10 to 6:00 PM. Connecticut Children's Chorus

Auditions for the Connecticut Children's Chorus will be held at the University of Hartford, on September 13. If students are interested in auditioning, an appointment can be made by calling (860) 768-4451. If there are any questions, contact Dr. Stuart Younse at younse@hartford.edu. A flyer with more information is hanging outside the auditorium. Students in Grades 1-6 are invited to audition.

Instrumental Music

Grade 4 students will be meeting with Mr. Schutzman today to learn about opportunities to play in band and orchestra. Make sure to ask your child about it!
